Bravo Blog Round-Up: The Real Housewives of Miami

This week's episode of The was filled with all of the things we love about Bravo TV; fabulous parties and galas, housewives trying to outdo the other, he-said she-said drama and wannabes! Here's what the ladies had to say about it this week in their Bravo blogs.

A recent article had come out in our local newspaper, The Miami Herald, which was rather insulting and had been eating away at me for a few weeks. The article painted a disrespectful and insulting picture of the hard working women in our cast, and quite frankly the entire Housewives= franchise. As a result of this article, you may have noticed a lack of patience on my part towards and her recent social blunders. No, I am not jumping on the band wagon to beat up on , because quite frankly, I do not dislike her. I did however think this article was inappropriate, insulting, and could have been completely avoided.

I was tempted to submit a blank page in lieu of a blog. To say that this episode speaks for itself is an understatement. To tarnish the beauty of this epic display of someone's character (or lack thereof) by attempting to describe it would be criminal. So I will sit on my hands and do nothing. I will allow what was witnessed tonight to find its rightful place in the mind of the viewers. Because no matter how much one roots for a perceived underdog or how much one rationalizes human behavior, this episode is a veritable smoking gun.

Well, I think in this episode people will finally be able to see how operates! She acts nice and innocent when you first meet her, but it takes time to see how gossipy she can be. Let’s just call it like it is -- she caused every fight in this episode by going around like a gossiping spinster who likes to meddle in everyone's business. Last week she got into Alexia's business, this week she is messing with and Joanna. But I'm done talking about her, since, as you can see, she doesn't get it and will never change. So I rest my case here.

As a human being, it kills me to even think I need to be a voice for these defenseless animals, because I could never support anything that tortures animals. It’s sad that I even have to be part of this to try to get people to realize that buying fur is murder. These animals get skinned alive in fur farms where often they get beaten alive, drowned, and are kept in tiny cages where they die after going crazy from being confined their whole life in small spaces. I love PETA because they do the hard work and go undercover and launch videos of the horrific abuse that happens to animals around the world, from fur farms to laboratories that test on animals for cosmetics. Everyone should go and see these videos and open their hearts to how much these poor animals suffer. There is no reason for these kinds of barbaric murders: www.peta.org or www.furisdead.com.

Well next except for a couple of double standards. Some people, Marysol in particular, allege that they don't engage in gossip. Well that is unless it's about me with her protector, or gossiping about Karent poolside, or at a "bloomers" party, or not correcting false accusations she clearly knows are false -- "enabling" at its finest. She even gossips about charity volunteers. And of course the gossip about if a big blonde (Elaine Lancaster) should show up, she (Marysol) can't face up. Oh, the non-drama drama Marysol brings on herself. After all, what would a PR firm be without gossip, hearsay, and buzz?

I had promised myself I would not talk about Karent, but that was before watching this episode of course. How can I not, right? Finally in this episode Karent’s mask is unveiled, and we see the Karent that Adriana, Ana, Lea, Marysol, and myself have been talking about; her true colors and real character come to light. First she tries to start trouble with Marysol about her fur cape, but Marysol, oblivious to her attack, ignores it. Furthermore in her interview she states that Marysol was being defensive. Really? Karent, you approached her and were questioning her about wearing fur, which was none of your business. Secondly, she meets Joe Francis for the first time and two minutes later is asking him if he slept with Joanna. WHO DOES THAT?! Are you really her friend?! Really?! With friends like that, who needs enemies? And it doesn’t stop there. She runs over to Joanna and tells Joanna what Joe Francis had said not taking into consideration the fact that she was in Lisa’s home at a charity event and Romain was present. What happened to all that class you brag about?

The article that Adriana is referring to is from the Miami Herald, in which I was introduced to a woman at an event. We were casually speaking and she asked me how I felt about this new group of women I had started hanging out with. I was very truthful in saying that some of these women were very catty and that they would create fights to try to make themselves look better. I did say I would not stoop to their level (which I think up to now, all of you have noticed that I haven't), and that I would just "kill them with kindness." If you read the article, you will notice that the only part that I actually said is in quotes. "Kill them with kindness" is a direct quotation; everything else is not in quotes, which goes to show you that I didn't say it. If I would have said something else, she could have used more quotes. It's pretty much black and white.

The conversation quickly turned from fur to Joe Francis’s relationship with Marta and Joanna. He did offer too much information, but Karent did open that door by asking if she slept with both of them. Then to make the situation worse, Karent told Joanna in front of Joe that he had just said he slept with both of them. The question should never have been asked. Joanna then of course got irate with Joe. I felt embarrassed for everyone involved. I didn't appreciate any of this behavior at my event. Obviously no one cared enough that I worked very hard to make this event a success and that we were here to raise funds and awareness for an important cause. These issues should of been addressed at another time.
